snd_pcm_format_linear()

Check for a linear format

Synopsis:

int snd_pcm_format_linear( int format );

Arguments:

format

The format number (one of the SND_PCM_SFMT_* constants). For a list of the supported formats, see snd_pcm_get_format_name().

Description:

The snd_pcm_format_linear() function checks to see if the format is linear. The supported linear formats are:

• SND_PCM_SFMT_S8
• SND_PCM_SFMT_U8
• SND_PCM_SFMT_S16_LE
• SND_PCM_SFMT_U16_LE
• SND_PCM_SFMT_S16_BE
• SND_PCM_SFMT_U16_BE
• SND_PCM_SFMT_S24_LE
• SND_PCM_SFMT_U24_LE
• SND_PCM_SFMT_S24_BE
• SND_PCM_SFMT_U24_BE
• SND_PCM_SFMT_S32_LE
• SND_PCM_SFMT_U32_LE
• SND_PCM_SFMT_S32_BE
• SND_PCM_SFMT_U32_BE

Returns:

1

The format is a linear format.

0

The format isn't a linear format.
